Wight Woodlands provides professional tree management across the Isle of Wight, carrying out all aspects of tree surgery and woodland management.
What we do: Typically our clients are men and women who are struggling to come to terms with one or more life-shocks. This could be cancer or other major illness, bereavement, job loss, divorce / break-up, and other types of losses. We help by equipping them with the right information and tools to work through the emotional impact of their traumatic experiences. In this way, they are able to face their grief, let go of any emotional pain limiting them, and regain a sense of wellbeing. For those who want to support children through grief, we offer a specially-designed 6-week course (see below). We also provide bespoke ‘Emotional First Aid’ training for HR staff, managers and other professionals who want to give the right support to any employees who have experienced a significant loss. To assist at this time, the Met Office, in conjunction with Public Health England, is issuing the following cold weather advice: “Make sure that you stay warm. If going outside make sure you dress appropriately. If indoors, make sure that you keep your heating to the right temperature; heating your home to at least 18° Celsius in winter poses minimal risk to your health when you are wearing suitable clothing. “If there is anyone you know who might be at special risk, for example, an older person living on their own, make sure they know what to do to stay warm and are well stocked with food and medications. “If you are worried about your health or that of somebody you know, ring NHS 111.” More information can be found at www.nhs.uk/staywell.
