CHATTY/FRIENDLY/NO FEARS/RUBBER BRIDGE (Every Tuesday at Seagrove Pavilion from 1.30pm – 4.30pm)We started at the Pavilion in September 2013 and quickly developed as players were struck by being able to play a serious game of bridge but in a friendly and helpful environment. This prompted us to test the water in creating training sessions for those who wished to learn the game and we are now with our 4th class with the other 3 having integrated into our full sessions. You don’t need a partner and beverages and biscuits provided and a great afternoon of bridge for just £2. All newcomers welcome. Average 5 to 8 tables per session. The Seagrove Pavilion is located at Seagrove Recreation Ground off Seagrove Farm Road, Seaview, PO34 5HL (Follow the signs for Seaview Football Club)

Vic’s Stores is a small, family run, convenience store located in the heart of Nettlestone village. The shop was established in 1960, and I, Charles Brading, have been in continuous employment in the family business since the age of fourteen. I took over the running of the business in 1990, making me the second generation to run Vic’s and the third to serve the community as a retailer of foods. There is a great spirit of community in Nettlestone, and indeed on the Isle of Wight, and we to take this into account and attempt to encourage it by sourcing our fresh produce, where possible, from within the Island and indeed in some cases (our free-range eggs for example) from within the village of Nettlestone itself.
