Brighstone Grange is a care home providing residential and day care services and is registered by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI). Accommodation and personal care is provided, for up to 23 people over 65 years of age with various health care needs, along with 7 day care places. A regular congregation of 12-20 people worshipping in a modern building, with good ecumenical relations playing its part in the local community. Services traditional & evangelical. Brighstone Pre-school operates within the precinct of the C/E Primary School. We welcome children from 6months to 5 years. Monday – Friday 8.00am-3.00pm Term-time only. ‘Where children come first’
Although the premises are primarily rented to the Social Club, other groups and individuals can and do use them, especially for meetings where quiet, comfortable surrounding are wanted. Rates are negotiable, although a morning, afternoon or evening session would normally be £12.00 for a one-off booking. For more information, call Bob Sturgess on 01983 740538. The main hall is furnished with two full-sized snooker tables, and has male and female toilets leading off it. Down three steps to the rear of the main hall is a seating area and a licenced bar for the use of Social Club members. Tea and coffee making facilities are available. To the rear of the building is a lawned area furnished with two Petanque pitches.
Doctors – Surgeries – GP’s The Brighstone surgery is in New Road, next to the church and opposite the school. There is a dispensary on site for patients registered with the practice who live more than one mile from a chemist. The Wilberforce Hall was built in 1928 and is situated in the centre of Brighstone opposite the Newsagents. Parking is available in the Free car park signposted down Warne’s Lane. There is a ramp to the Hall’s main entrance. The Hall seats 80 and has a stage, male and female toilets and a large kitchen. The Wilberforce Hall can be booked by session (morning, afternoon or evening). Each Session is £12.00. Please read the Terms and Conditions 2015 carefully before renting the Hall.
