Huntington’s Disease Association
(Updated 24/04/2021)
Huntington’s disease, which is often called HD, is a hereditary disorder of the central nervous system that affects muscle coordination and leads to mental decline and behavioural symptoms.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Huntington’s Disease Association is an informal group of
people affected by Huntington’s Disease who meet together to share information and support.
We are supported by a Specialist HD Advisor Eve Payler, who attends branch meetings when possible.
Carers also meet separately at a pub venue which we rotate around, both Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, according to need and location of affected families.
A branch newsletter has all the information of meeting dates and events to receive a copy of the newsletter please email : footmfoot@aol.com
