Join Wild About Wight on one our summer evening bat walks in the East Wight, run in conjunction with the Isle of Wight Bat Hospital, and led by local expert Graham Street. The walks will take place in a variety of locations across East Wight, all places well known for their thriving bat populations. We will be using bat detecting equipment to listen out for bats flying nearby, and to identify the different species of bats active in the area. Learn what you can do to protect and support bats in our towns and countryside. The walks are FREE but numbers are limited, so booking is essential. Festivals – Festival Jack Up The 80’s is renowned for being one big Summer party & that’s the true essence of what people love about it. Now there’s fabulous news for party-goers as this hugely popular event is broadening its appeal to allow for a richer variety of music! Returning as ‘Jack Up The Summer’ in its traditional slot this August, this much loved family friendly throwback festival will continue to celebrate the upbeat, hand-clapping music of yesteryear, centred around party hits and feel-good music from the 80’s & 90’s. Audiences can enjoy a wider variety of acts however the 80’s spirit remains very much at the heart of Jack Up The Summer.
