Cowes Men’s Shed is open to everyone aged 18 and over not just men! We have a large carpentry/joinery workshop, a (relatively) sawdust-free break and activity room and a well-equipped kitchen area with an oven, hobs, a microwave, fridge and (most importantly) a kettle.
Do you care for someone who suffers with a mental illness? Do you feel that you would benefit from meeting up monthly with other carers of people with a mental illness in a social setting?
Open to all people over the age of 50, carers and other interested people.
Parish Council meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of the month at various locations within the parish. Meetings start at 7 pm unless otherwise stated. There will be 15 minutes set aside to consider questions submitted by the public. No meeting in August unless time bound issues arise. Every Tues 10 – 12 in the METHODIST CHURCH. Enjoy drinks, cakes, and biscuits amongst good company. Quizzes, games and visiting speakers provide good entertainment. Assistance is available from AGE UK volunteers who can point you in the right direction with personal or technical problems. Our doors are open to everyone.
