Bid In person: There’s nothing that can quite replicate the exciting experience of attending an auction in person. Please take the time to register with us before the auction and we’ll be happy to provide you with a bidding number.

Bid by telephone: To reserve a line and bid by telephone, please get in touch a minimum of 24 hours before the auction. On the day, a member of our team will call you from the auction floor and bid on your behalf upon your specific instructions. 

Bid online: Live stream our auction and bid in real-time from anywhere in the world, via our online bidding partner,

Bid in advance: If you’re unable to bid live, we welcome absentee bids (also known as commission bids) in advance of the auction. Register your maximum bid for any number of lots, and our auctioneers will bid on your behalf, endeavouring to obtain the items for the best possible price.


The final amount payable for all purchasers made by in-person, telephone or absentee bids, includes the hammer price (the auction sale price) and a buyer’s premium of 20% (inclusive of VAT).Online bids include an extra 5.94% (inclusive of VAT) charged by the bidding platform.

You may pay by bank transfer, cash, or by debit or credit card. Alternatively, if you bid and buy via our online bidding partner, you will receive an invoice by email the day after the auction, which includes a link to pay online.

We request that accounts are settled as soon as possible and definitely within two working days of the auction.


Your winning items will be yours to take away after purchase.

We ask that purchasers remove their lots from the auction room within three working days of the auction, though please note we are unable to issue items on the day of the auction itself.

We are happy to transport items anywhere on the Isle of Wight, while further afield, we use our in-house packing team and a variety of global courier companies to offer delivery on almost all of the lots we auction. The postage and packaging cost is determined following the auction and charged in addition to the hammer price and buyer’s premium. As standard, items are posted at the buyer’s risk and insurance is on request only.

In the rare instance that we are unable to offer delivery, we can however connect you with a community of reliable private couriers who may be able to meet your needs. Similarly, if you wish to instruct your own courier, we can pack your purchases ready for collection.
