Every Monday 1pm – 4pm at West Wight Sports & Community Centre. The Games Lounge is a great way to socialise and meet new people. You have access to the facilities in the Community Centre including pool tables, air hockey, table top football and table games. Plus refreshments. CHATTY/FRIENDLY/NO FEARS/RUBBER BRIDGE (Every Tuesday at Seagrove Pavilion from 1.30pm – 4.30pm)We started at the Pavilion in September 2013 and quickly developed as players were struck by being able to play a serious game of bridge but in a friendly and helpful environment. This prompted us to test the water in creating training sessions for those who wished to learn the game and we are now with our 4th class with the other 3 having integrated into our full sessions. You don’t need a partner and beverages and biscuits provided and a great afternoon of bridge for just £3. All newcomers welcome. Average 5 to 8 tables per session. Aviva Sports Club for children with disabilities Thursday 4pm to 6pm Thanks to funding from the Aviva Community Fund we are able to offer a weekly 2 hour session specifically for children with disabilities. Come and try out a variety of sports with our coach Paul Marshal, including access to our indoor climbing wall. You don’t have to stay for the whole 2 hours and can join in at the time best suiting you. On Saturday 25th August 2018 Northwood House will be the venue for the Isle of Wight Scouts Giant Teddy Bears Picnic, from 2pm to 5pm. Absolutely Everyone on the Island is welcome to come along, just bring one or more Teddy Bears and a Picnic and join us for an afternoon of fun and games. There will be a small admission charge – The afternoon will be to raise funds for IW Scouts, Northwood House and Children In Need, so we would ask for a minimum donation of £2 for adults and £1 for under 6 year olds.

The Tour de West Wight, part of the IW Cycle Fest, is open to all cyclists aged 16 years or over. The ride is being hosted by West Wight Sports & Community Centre and led by the West Wight Wheelers, our local cycling club. The 40km route starts and finishes at the Centre and takes riders through the scenic roads of West Wight. Cakes and drinks will be available in our café at the Centre after the ride. All levels of rider can take part and electric bikes are welcome. The ride is expected to take between one and a half and two and a half hours depending on the pace of your group, and you can choose from the following categories: – Slower paced group – Medium paced group – Faster paced group
Beaver Scouts are our youngest members. They usually meet weekly to take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities.
