Annual Sweetcorn Fayre 2018 Join us for our 12th annual Sweetcorn Festival over the weekend of 29th & 30th September. Join us for a festival of fun. There will be plenty of food, entertainment and activities for everyone to enjoy. Keep an eye on Arreton Barns website and Facebook page for more information.
Bird Watching Walk – Weather Dependent. Now that the Auctioneer kitchen/bar has opened up at Rectory Mansion, the bird watching group will be meeting there at 10.15am on Wednesdays. We learn how to identify the birds on Brading Marsh, usually walking along the old railway track. We get back to Rectory Mansion at about 1.00pm. The group is guided by Malcolm Green who has an amazing knowledge of birds and takes great pleasure in sharing his knowledge with anyone who is interested.
Spring Walk in Borthwood – Carers IW Wednesday 25th April from 11am – 2pm. Borthwood, Queen’s Bower, near Sandown. A gentle walk in the wood with views (hopefully) of the bluebells, followed by a light lunch at Thompson’s Nursery. For Carers & Former Carers – Please book on (01983) 533173
Peppa Pig is coming to Tapnell Farm Park! The loveable pig will be joining us on Saturday 12th May and Sunday 13th May, making personal appearances at intervals throughout both days. As well as trying to catch a glimpse of Peppa, you can say hello to our animals, whilst enjoying our other on-site activities and attractions – which will be open from 10am til 5pm for farm fun and adventures. There is no additional charge to see Peppa – it is all included in your farm admission! However, you will need to purchase a farm admission ticket in advance to guarantee entry to our farm on the days of Peppa Pig’s visits. Season Pass Holder’s get free admission as part of their pass benefits, but will still need a farm entry ticket for that specific day to guarantee entry. These special Season Pass tickets are free of charge and can be ordered online. Book your farm entry tickets in advance here.
Join us in the grounds of the beautiful private estate of Barton Manor for a grand day out for all the family. Featuring live music, Pimms bar, Sunflower Cafe, stallholders & exhibitors, traditional games and entertainment, bouncy castle fun, free kids area, groom a donkey, falconry display, pony and trap rides around the estate, and of course the stunning grounds themselves! Over 1,800 people attended the event in 2017, and this year Earl Mountbatten Hospice’s Barton Manor Open Garden will be the ONLY open garden event held at the Barton estate. So don’t miss it!
