It’s back! Walk, run or dance your way through the happiest 3k on the Isle of Wight! Following the incredible success of last year’s first Inflatable Rainbow Run, which raised more than £35,000 for Islanders affected by cancer, this year’s event will take place on July 28th. The course is family friendly, so you can run, jog, walk, dance or toddle your way to the finish line. About the event: There are ten immense inflatables for you to bounce over, squeeze through, slip and slide around along with five colour clouds of rainbow-coloured powder paint. The event is not timed, so you’re not racing anyone – the most important thing is that you enjoy your time and finish with a big smile on your face! Our post-race village will have food, music and other fun activities. Don’t worry – the paint is non-toxic, safe and biodegradable, although sunglasses are recommended! Children under 4ft must be accompanied by a registered adult to take part. For more information about volunteering opportunities on the day and timings please see the contacts below: Phone: 07785 472863 Email: email@example.com Website: https://www.wessexcancer.org.uk/event/inflatable-rainbow-run-2019
Registrations are now open:- https://dashandsplash.org.uk Dash and Splash is a 5-kilometre dash along the beach and a run along the surf of Sandown Bay! This beautiful area has the largest bay on the island which, at low tide, offers a unique run along the hard sand. There are 43 groynes in total to negotiate along the 5-kilometre run, most of which are a straight run through large gaps. The remaining 14 will be splashed around, which at low tide will be mostly ankle deep. Two groynes could be waist deep, these will have marshals in the water. Dash and Splash is a fun run and not a race.
