Annual Sweetcorn Fayre 2018 Join us for our 12th annual Sweetcorn Festival over the weekend of 29th & 30th September. Join us for a festival of fun. There will be plenty of food, entertainment and activities for everyone to enjoy. Keep an eye on Arreton Barns website and Facebook page for more information.
Admire the workmanship, enjoy the memories and expect to be surprised! Featuring an array of railway and road vehicles of all shapes and sizes. If you love cars and heritage transport this event is for you! Every vehicle on display is someone’s pride and joy … And this is also your chance to contribute to the Festival! Whether your car, bicycle, road engine, truck, wagon or old charabanc is a rare vintage marque, a smartly polished classic, or just an old banger, if it’s your pride and joy then come and display it at Havenstreet Station for the day! (All vehicles must be in the events field by 10am and remain there until 4pm). There will be a full, two-train service of steam trains reminiscent of Island transport in days gone by, and there’s a chance to explore our Train Story Discovery Centre and learn the story of our Victorian and Edwardian railway vehicles and their lasting impact on all our lives! To complete the weekend there will be live music from Jukebox Jazz and flying displays from Haven Falconry. Tea Club Returns We are now at Lake Methodist Church. All welcome for a home cooked 2 course meal for only £5.00. Thursday 12th April – Pork Loin Dinner, followed by Fruit & Cream. Thursday 26th April – Fishcakes Dinner, followed by Sponge & Custard.. Arrive at 3pm for socializing and quizzes, dinner served at 5pm.

Gallybagger Folk Music Nights The Gallybagger Inn, The Reading Room, Main Road, Chillerton The folk music night will be held on the last Thursday of every month from 8pm till late. Relax in the ambience of Havenstreet station with a pint of your favourite tipple as you watch the trains go by! The 13th Isle of Wight Real Ale Festival features beers sourced from brewers all over the country, including many brewed on the Isle of Wight. There will be a range of hot and cold food available and a full service of steam trains will be operating. The operating timetable and a full listing of ales will be available to view HERE when they become available. There is free admission to the Festival which is open from 11am until 7pm on Saturday and Sunday and from 11am until 5pm on bank holiday Monday. The unique setting of Havenstreet station makes our Festival a really pleasurable experience, and on each day you can enjoy flying displays from Haven Falconry.
