The popular West Wight Triathlon is an ideal race for first timers but challenging enough for more experienced racers. It incorporates a pool swim, spectacular cycle along the Military Road, along the south west coast of the Isle of Wight and flat run along the picturesque River Yar. Transition is in the field adjoining the Sports Centre where the pool is located. Online entries for the 2018 Chilly Hilly are now open! A race to warm you up this winter, a 10 mile cross country run taking in some of the most spectacular views and hills the West Wight has to offer. The event will start and finish at the West Wight Sports and Community Centre. You must be 16 or over to participate in this event. The Isle of Wight Festival of Running will be back from 1st June – 3rd June 2018! (more details to follow) The Isle of Wight Festival of Running is a three day event designed with the whole family in mind. Whether you have just taken up running with a Couch to 5k programme, looking a marathon or half marathon that combines stunning scenery and a challenging course or want to push yourself to the limit with a half iron distance triathlon – we have a race for you! Plus there is onsite camping and access to all the facilities the Sports Centre has to offer!

Shining for Summer is a Source Energy Health and Wellbeing event with an emphasis of giving you the support and tools you need to manage your own health and wellbeing to enable you to achieve your full potential. This is done by the deliverance of information and taster sessions from our wonderful selection of stall holders, tutors and practitioners. A long side their knowledge and expertise you will be invited to join in with the diverse list of workshops running through out the day, you can expect anything from tai chi, Yoga and meditation to mediumship, talks on natures remedies and kinesiology. £2 entrance, carers and under 12s are free. I find it excellent for helping me with my chronic back problem. Anyone can come along; it does look deceptively easy, but is really effective.
