A gentle wander through the village of Newtown with tales of the folk who left their mark here.

From Elizabeth I and George Canning, to the infamous Ferguson’s Gang and the Seabroke family in the 20th century, many famous figures from history have had an impact on Newtown.

We’ll also discover the lives of ordinary folk that called Newtown home. Part of the Isle of Wight Walking Festival.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a bit messy and wear comfy shoes.

If it’s sunny, bring your sunhat, sunglasses and cream. Bring binoculars if you have them.
